A pendulum out of wack
It’s not about Trump. It’s about them.
If Ronald Reagan were running today, he would be encountering the same dishonest vitriol. Remember, to the left, even Mitt Romney was “Hitler.”
It’s not conservatives or “MAGA” that have strayed into extremist political territory. Conservatism has changed little in its policy prescriptions over the decades,…“law and order, lower taxes, strong military, a sense of patriotism, etc.” It is the Left and its standard-bearer, the Democrat party, that is now on a mission to impose the stale dogma of authoritarian collectivism. Conservatism merely stands in the way of some pathological autocrats in their quest for a dystopian global order.
